Full Body Scanners.

There are more than 700 full  body scanners at about 180 airports across the country, according to the TSA in a 2012 report.

Full body scanners results in a black and white X-ray type image with a person's face blurred out, being able to see under a person's clothes, looking for weapons (threats).

People argue that full body scanners invades their privacy because you can see through their clothes.  They are also concerned because they have the photo stored in the system forever.

  • “I don’t think anybody needs to see my 8-year-old naked in order to secure that airplane.” said Representative Jason Chaffez.  For more information on his argument click here.
